Hulk Hogan’s son Nick was sentenced to eight months in county jail in Florida today.

Nick pled no contest to felony reckless driving charges stemming from an August car crash that left his friend seriously injured.

The judge also handed down five years probation, 500 hours of community service and suspended his driver’s license for three years.

He won’t be allowed to drink during his probation and will attend DUI education classes.

The 17-year-old stared straight ahead as the sentence was read.

Nick and friend John Graziano were drag racing when he lost control and slammed into a palm tree. He later tested positive for alcohol.

John is expected to spend the rest of his life in a nursing home.

His father said in a statement during the hearing, “My life now consists of 10 hours each day at a hospital watching my son suffer.”

“Nick has shown no remorse for what he’s done for my son.”

John’s sister also spoke adding, “We have never once heard him apologize for what he’s done or take any responsibility for any of his actions.”

Nick will next appear in court November 11 to address restitution to the family.

He was taken into custody and will begin serving his sentence immediately.

Laird Hamilton — the Michael Jordan of surfing — hung up the surfboard and hunkered down over a drawing board briefly to design his new Wonderwall surf and skate collection with Steve & Barry’s.

Hamilton — who is married to beach volleyball great Gabrielle Reece — debuted the 165-piece collection on Thursday night, which officially launches to the public on May 15th. He joins a roster of guest designers for the mass retailer, including Sarah Jessica Parker (Bitten) and Amanda Bynes (Dear).

He says of his new venture, “My interest in fashion began when I started surfing. I noticed that the most financially successful people in the surfing community were apparel manufacturers.I actually worked in downtown L.A.’s garment district back in the 80’s to learn the trade. I dabbled in every aspect of the business, from logo design to pattern-making to advertising.”

Londonites who had heart palpitations over the Chanel’s Paris-Londres show, don’t get too excited now.

Just kidding, go nuts.

Chanel is opening at temporary boutique in Dover Street Market from June 9th to 26th, serving up double-C platters of ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories from the Paris-Londres collection. Those who are dubious about pulling off the “rich punk” collection (as Lagerfeld calls it), options from Chanel’s main line will also be available.

This is the first time Dover Street Market has carried Chanel, so grab your Biarritz bag and head on over.

Uber-music producer Mark Ronson and teenage girlfriend Daisy Lowe stepped out last night in London.

Mark is 32, while Daisy is 19.

The pair attended a party for Jade Jagger and then hit the clubs until 2 am.

Daisy’s mother is Pearl Lowe, who was rumored to be into swinging back in the day with BFF’s Jude Law and ex-wife Sadie Frost.

In 2004, a DNA test revealed that Daisy’s real father was Bush singer Gavin Rossdale, who is now married to Gwen Stefani.

Daisy thought Gavin was her godfather for 15 years, but since the DNA test he’s severed all ties with the family. Sad.

Meanwhile, Mark was engaged to Quincy Jones’ daughter and The Office star Rashida Jones in 2003.

He is currently in London trying to get Amy Winehouse to stay sober long enough to record a song or two.

We don’t see this relationship lasting, but Pearl has given the union her blessing saying, “I’ve got no problem with the age gap… he’s a gentleman and he’s really looking after her.”

“I could imagine them being together in the long term.”

Hugh Hefner says Miley Cyrus can pose for Playboy in a couple of years.

The 82-year-old editor says Miley will be “welcomed in the magazine” when she’s of legal age.

Lindsay Lohan is out of a job.

Producers of the upcoming film Manson Girls dropped her like she’s hot because no one wanted to work with her.

She signed on to star in the film in March, but when they tried to attach other actors to the project no one was interested.

Lindsay was supposed to play Nancy Pitman, a pampered surfie chick who becomes obsessed with Charles Manson.

Production was scheduled to begin in July, so they dumped her in order to salvage the project.

Meanwhile, Lindsay’s peeps are trying to put a positive spin on things.

They say she’s set to star in Labor Pains, a comedy about a young woman who pretends to be pregnant to avoid being fired.

Sounds like stinker.

Mischa Barton needs to zip it regarding pics making the rounds showing massive amounts of cellulite on her thighs.

Now her rep is claiming that the pap who took the photos deliberately altered them to make her look bad!

Her spokeswoman tells the New York Daily News, “Those photos are doctored. I’m not saying she’s perfect, nobody is. But they’ve given a 22-year-old woman the legs and bottom of an 80-year-old.”

“Look at the shots that were taken shortly before on a beach in L.A. Did she develop all that cellulite in a couple of weeks? There’s a lot you can do with Photoshopping.”

Photographer Jamie Fawcett does have a reputation for being a bit of a slimebag and took the pics when Mischa was in Australia sunbathing.

But we doubt they’re doctored.

He says, “”I wouldn’t seek to publicly embarrass her with nudity or health issues or body image issues. It is a shame that publications tend to highlight an issue that is not fair to a young girl.”

“However, sometimes these are the things that sell pictures.”

This isn’t the first time pictures of Mischa’s thighs have emerged.

This is her leaving upscale restaurant La Scala in Beverly Hills recently.

We’d suggest not wearing short shorts when you’re out and about if you’ve got issues with your thighs. Seriously.
