A tailor has been charged with residential burglary after breaking into Nicolas Cage’s California home.

Robert Furo pleaded not guilty to the felony count in Orange County Superior Court today.

The 45-year-old broke into Nic’s place in Newport Beach at 2:00 AM Tuesday.

The actor woke up and found the guy wandering around in his house NAKED - except for the fact that he was wearing one of Nic’s jackets.

Cage’s wife and young son were also home at the time of the incident.

Newport Beach police tell TMZ that they received a call at 1:27 AM from a security guard at Cage’s gated community who said he received a call from the actor about an intruder.

Cage escorted the wackadoodle into his backyard without incident and he was arrested a short time later by police.

He remains jailed on $100,000 bail and faces up to six years in prison if convicted.

Furo is due back in court on Oct. 10 for a preliminary hearing.
