Oprah Goes Vegan

Oprah is going on another public diet.
This time she’s decided to go vegan for 21 days.
The media mogul was inspired by author Kathy Freston’s new book Quantum Wellness.
Kathy appeared on the show Tuesday and convinced Oprah to give conscious eating a try.
In addition to swearing off animal products, Winfrey and three pals from her production company are also banning caffeine, sugar, gluten and alcohol.
Oprah’s blogging every day about the experience and including meal plans and recipes on her website.
She writes, “This 21-day cleanse gives me a chance to think about [eating] differently and see what my attachments are to certain kinds of foods – and what I’m willing to do to change.”
“Don’t know if I’m going to feel better or worse, but I’m willing to try to see if my body at least feels differently.”
“I had been focused on what I had to give up – sugar, gluten, alcohol, meat, chicken, fish, eggs, cheese. ‘What’s left?’ I thought.”
“Apparently a lot. I can honestly say every meal was a surprise and a delight, beginning with breakfast – strawberry rhubarb wheat-free crepes.”
Kathy is married to former Viacom head honcho Tom Freston and sent her personal chef to Oprah to help ease the pain.
It’s easy to do this kind of thing when you have a personal chef whipping up wheat-free crepes for you.
But we do applaud Oprah for giving it a try and hope she wheels out her fat in a wagon again.
